Forum about the Future of the Restaurant Market
Russian FoodService Forum is Russia's largest business conference for restaurateurs, held annually since 2008 by FoodService magazine. The goal of the convention is to discuss the trends of the foodservice industry among experienced players in the market. The agenda doesn't include workshops on kitchen equipment layout or anti-theft measures. The Forum deals with strategic issues of the eating-out market. Where is the restaurant industry heading today? What will our guests be wanting tomorrow? Which formats will be up-to-date? Which concepts are gaining popularity in Europe and America, and will they be popular here? How to use modern means of communication for brand promotion?
The audience of the Forum is owners of individual and chain restaurants, coffee bars, bars and cafeterias; marketing specialists; managers and directors; catering industry professionals, retailers, representatives of manufacturing and supplying companies.
Among the speakers are Russian and foreign specialists in concept development, menu development, and design, and, of course, renowned Russian restaurateurs. Throughout the history of the Russian FoodService Forum, the speakers list included Arkady Novikov, Alexandr Rappoport, Boris Zarkov, Alexey Vasilchuk, Anton Pinsky, Rostislav Ordovsky-Tanaevsky Blanco, Mikhail Goncharov, Vladimir Perelman, Denis Ivanov, Vladislav Dudakov, Oleg Lobanov, Zufar Gayazov, Leonid Garbar. Among the foreign speakers who took part in the Forum were Chris Muller, dean of Boston University School of Hospitality; Mario Bauer, Director of Vapiano International; Mark Micotti, Director of international licensing at Wagamama; Simon Threadkell, creative director at Fitch; and Pierre Nierhaus, hospitality consultant from Germany.
A food and drinks fair takes place during coffee breaks in the Forum lobby: manufacturers and suppliers offer tastings of their new products and bestsellers.
Russian FoodService Forum is based on the model of the European Foodservice Summit held annually in Zürich (starting from 2024 moved to Amsterdam) by our European partner, Foodservice Europe & Middle East magazine. The two-day European Foodservice Summit brings together owners and top managers of Europe's largest restaurant chains. The summit has a limited number of participants – 250. The speakers list throughout the history of the summit included Howard Schultz (Starbucks), Alan Yau (Wagamama), Robert Brozin (Nando's), Ron Shaich (Panera Bread), Alain Coumont (LPQ), Henry McGovern (AmRest) and other renowned restaurateurs.
XVII Russian FoodService Forum will be held in Moscow on November 18th, 2024.
